Firwin Corp Expands Product Line to include Spiral Hose Wraps.
Firwin Corp, a Toronto-based manufacturer of removable insulation blankets, announced recently a new addition to its product line: Pro-Tec-To™ Spiral Hose Wraps, used to protect hydraulic hoses against abrasion and crushing.
"Although our primary business is the manufacturing of insulation blankets, we will take on additional products that we see as complementary", said Paul Herman, Firwin's president. "Many of our insulation blanket customers can be found in industries where hydraulic hose damage is an issue, such as mining, forestry, oil and gas, and construction equipment. We felt that a high quality hose protection product would be of value to these customers.”
Pro-Tec-To™ polyethylene spiral hose wraps are used on hoses, ropes, wires, and cables, to protect against chaffing, rubbing, crushing, ultraviolet weathering, and most other hazards that can cause failures. The product is self-lubricating and easy to install. Other products available include a polyurethane thin wall sleeve for applications that require more flame resistance and leak containment, and a light-duty spiral wrap for wrapping and bundling of wires and cables. All the products are available in various sizes and colors.
